reflecting on a wonderful year- so grateful for my little business and everywhere it has taken me. best wishes for 2013…
your last blog post is from october! oops.
well, it was a fantastically busy fall, and now that we are within the final weeks before christmas, things are even busier. currently, i’m packing up orders and preparing for my last show of the season/year.
the event is ‘market at the fareway’, a brand new weekly sunday market in chestnut hill (located behind the historic chestnut hill hotel on germantown ave.) I’ll be there this sunday, december 16th from 11:oo – 4:00.
the site is formerly the old farmers market which is in the middle of a transformation and will feature a different dozen or so handmade and vintage vendors every sunday. here’s more on what and who you’ll see there.

i’ll have a nice selection of goodies on hand for everyone on your gift list. if you can’t make it, no worries, there are many ways to shop joey. you can visit my etsy shop or any of these fine retailers that carry joeyfivecents. in addition, i’ll have things at ‘out of hand’, a pop up shop on 12 race street in frenchtown, nj for the month of december.
hope to see you before the new year!
It’s that time again! Clover Market’s October installation is this Sunday, October 14th in Ardmore, PA from 10 – 5. As always, there will be a carefully curated selection of vendors and makers selling vintage and handmade, food and free hands-on crafts for the kids.
I’ll have a nice selection of joeys perfectly suited for fall and for holiday gifts. Look for me in my usual spot, booth #19, on the corner of the third row off of Lancaster Avenue. You’ll find a complete list of all 100 plus vendors and map here.
Plenty of copper and deerskin suede wrap bracelets will be on hand- they double as a choker as well.
There’s a ‘new’ crop of vintage cluster bracelets too…

I’m bringing a trove of funky cocktail rings- great with any outfit!
As an added bonus, Clover’s doing a giveaway. One lucky winner will win one of their new oversized totebags AND a super comfy distressed logo t-shirt. Just leave a comment on their FB post with what you’re hunting for at Sunday’s Market AND win an additional entry by sharing their page with your friends. Check it out…
I literally feel like September just began and now October is lurking around the corner. So much has been going on, but it’s all good. Here’s some of the things I’ve been up to since the beginning of the month:
- participated in the Made in America Festival in Philly.
- designed and distributed my e-newsletter with my fall/winter show schedule.
- had a trunk show at The Little Apple in Manayunk, PA.
- took on a new retailer, oWowCow Creamery in Wrightstown, PA.
- participated in the Outdoor Craft Store in Swarthmore, PA.
- participated in the opening day Clover Market in Ardmore, PA.
- stocked up joey retailers: Shake the Tree, Deconstructed Living, Circa Dee and Hens Teeth Rare Gifts.
This weekend I’ll be at the first annual Woodbury Fall Arts Fest in where else? Woodbury, NJ.
Look at this layout! I’ll be in Booth #220 on Railroad Avenue between Wallace and Hopkins) amongst dozens of artisan vendors, musicians, craft beer gardens and so much more. I’m intrigued by what offerings lie in ‘The Art of Spice’ tent.
Hope to see you this Saturday in Woodbury between 11 – 6.
in honor of the start of school and the waning days of summer, i’m giving away these new joey ‘gold dangly’ earrings!
the earrings: light as a feather long brass drops with vintage bar chain dangle from antiqued gold pendants featuring luminescent vintage ocean images. they will remind you of the beach any season that you wear them. or a rare and mysterious blue stone. you can make up your own story too.
the rules are simple: you must be a facebook follower of joeyfivecents. you can find my page here. if you’re already a follower than you’re good with step one. next, leave a comment (under the giveaway post on the facebook page) about what you’re looking forward to with the coming of fall – anything in particular. the changing of the leaves. the kids back in school. or maybe there’s nothing you look forward to. that’s okay too.
a winner will be picked at random this friday (9/7) at noon, but remember to leave a comment on facebook to be in the running.
thanks and good luck!
Well, my new interim website. I couldn’t be more thrilled with the work that James from En over En Publishing and Design Services did to update my much neglected web page. Sometime during the fall we will expand to the full site, but until then, this works just fine. It perfectly captures the kitsch, sass and design of joeyfivecents- I love it!
Check it out and let me know what you think…
