Philly Home Show Weekend #2

Tomorrow marks the start of the second weekend for the Clover Market Pop up Shop at the Philadelphia Home Show.  Even though there’s a slight snow hysteria right now, I’m thinking warm and cozy thoughts for inside the Convention Center.  There’s eight new vendors and twelve returning to display and sell their wares beginning tomorrow morning from 10:00 – 9:00 pm and Sunday, 10:00 – 6:00 pm.

Here’s a little motivation to make the trek:  A mondo giveaway for all those who visit the Clover pop up and sign up for the mailing list. That’s it! In anticipation of the upcoming Philadelphia Home Show in which I’ll be participating as a vendor, I’m hosting a giveaway of my ‘new’ vintage bangle design.  The design features a vintage faux woodgrain bangle, mini copper joeyfivecents pendant with vintage paper, vintage ‘wishbone’ charm and a vintage bead. Clover Market pop-up

 I’m thrilled to be a part of this new opportunity:  Clover Market has teamed up with the longstanding Philadelphia Home Show to host a curated pop-up shop.  Beginning next weekend, Janurary 14th and 15th, and ending the following weekend, January 21st and 22nd, a selected group of vendors will be selling their wares as part of the Home Show exhibition at the Convention Center.  There’s a great assortment of vintage and handmade, housewares, jewelry, screen-printed textiles,  and repurposed creations for some fantastic and unique shopping while you’re attending the show.

I am busy replenishing my post-holiday inventory, tweaking some new ideas and revamping my booth layout for the indoor trade show venue.

New Design!  Vintage bangles (this one’s notched, faux woodgrain) with the joey touch:  tiny copper pendant, vintage charm/bead cluster.

I’m looking forward to all that’s in store for joeyfivecents in 2012. In a few weeks I’m participating in the Clover Market pop up shop at The Philadelphia Home Show in the Philly Convention Center. I’ll be there for both of the shop weekends on January 14, 15th and January 21, 22nd along with 19 other selected Clover vendors.  Over the next week or so I’ll preview of some of the new items and designs that I’ve been working on and plan on bringing to the show.

the holiday countdown…and free shipping!

Well, the shows have ended and I’m finally getting some time to finish up my own holiday shopping and decorating but more importantly to enjoy a little holiday cheer.  As a wee bonus, for those shoppers who are like me and still have a few stray gifts to buy, I’m offering free shipping this week through Friday, 12/23 in my etsy shop. Bust Craftacular.

Tomorrow’s the day!  Up before the sun to drive to NY and get set up for show’s open at 11:00. Xina (who helped me at the Folk Fest) will also be on hand at my table so that is a good thing. I’m excited about the event (first time for a show in New York) and some of the new stuff that I’m bringing for the sale.

Belt buckles made with vintage yearbook photos. Hadn’t made these in a while, always a favorite of mine.

Assorted necklaces with vintage chains and findings and bright vintage papers. Love these vintage plastic drop beads so much.

Multiple vintage goldtone glass beaded chains and antiqued brass pendant with a vintage landscape illustration. This is one large, long necklace.  The chains are stunning- the black beads remind me of eyes and I also love the sparse illustration that I took from a vintage science book.

Back to work, still putting things together for tomorrow…

‘Hens Teeth Rare Gifts’ trunk show

I’ll be at Hens Teeth Rare Gifts in Doylestown, PA tomorrow night (12/1) from 6:00 – 10:00 pm with all of the latest joey goods for everyone on your list.  I’ll have lots of new designs on hand that feature mixed metal vintage chains and findings, copper wrap bracelets, rings, belt buckles and classic joey glass pendants and word necklaces. More preview images here.

They will also be holding their Holiday Open House so it should be very festive including libations, food and 10% off the entire store.  Sounds like a fun night- and the perfect way to shop local for the holidays! Hope to see you…

Final 2011 Clover Market

Tomorrow, Sunday, November 7th marks the final Clover Market of the 2011 season.  Clover finishes the year with a bang hosting over 70 artisans, vintage sellers and fine artists as well as a record number of food vendors in downtown Ardmore. I’ll be in my usual corner spot loaded up with joeys to kick off the gift buying season.

It’s that time again.

Wow. It’s practically November, which means the holiday shopping season officially goes into overdrive and the craft shows kick it up a notch.
